North York is a large part of north Toronto. It runs from Steeles Avenue in the north, where it borders Vaughan, to the Humber River in the west and Victoria Park Avenue in the east. After the post-war building boom it changed from largely rural land to suburbs, and North York City Centre on Yonge Street is now a business hub outside Downtown Toronto.
